Woman Maoist killed in encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh, a woman Maoist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Bastar division this morning. According to police officials a joint team of Special Task Force , CoBRA battalion and District Reserve Guard raided a naxal hideout in Dabbakonta jungles of Chintagufa area in Sukma district.

During the action an exchange of fire took place between the STF troops and Maoists.
Later, during the search operations body of one woman naxal cadre along with an In SAS rifle and other camping materials recovered from the spot.

Police officers claimed that it is anticipated at least three or four more naxal cadres might have sustained bullet injuries. The search operation is going on in the area. (AIR NEWS)
