Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the works of Krishnaguru inspired us all to work with devotion for the betterment of the country.
He said that the country is marching towards the path of development with the moto of Sabka Saath,Sabka Viswas.
Participating in the Krishnaguru Eknaam Akhanda Kirtan for World Peace at Barpeta in Assam via video conferencing, the Prime Minister said that Assam and the North East would be hugely benefited with the new declaration made in the recent union budget. He hoped that the culture and heritage of Assam would flourish further through the MV Ganga Vilas river cruise. Mr Modi further said that the local bamboo products of Assam have become popular of late.
AIR Correspondent reports that for the first time, a Prime Minister has participated in any of the events of the Krishnaguru Sevashram. Krishnaguru Eknaam Akhanda Kirtan for World Peace is a month-long kirtan being held from 6th January at Krishnaguru Sevashram.
The Krishnaguru Sevashram was established in 1974, at Nasatra village in Barpeta district of Lower Assam. (AIR NEWS)
