Vice President M.Venkaiah Naidu has called upon doctors to play a pro-active role in educating people, particularly the youth about the dangers of sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy food habits.
Mr Naidu was interacting with a delegation of Delhi Medical Association on the occasion of Doctors' Day in the National Capital today. The Vice President asked doctors to visit nearby educational institutions in their localities and create awareness about the serious impact of unhealthy lifestyle in view of the rise in non-communicable diseases.
He reminded them of the reverent manner in which doctors are treated by the people and urged the medical fraternity to serve people with empathy and compassion. (AIR NEWS)
